Chinese folk traditions have long thrived along the banks of the Yellow River. Young men, dressed in white and goldenrod yellow, dance to a catchy beat in celebration of a bountiful harvest. Their movements are strong and open, expansive and relaxed, accented with distinctive headshakes to match their springy steps. Celadon ribbons trail through the air like slivers of water or dancing dragons, as the performers give thanks for the life-giving river.
