Throughout the generations, the people of China have believed that their rich culture was a gift from the heavens. Our curtain opens to a scene in a celestial kingdom where a great being appears. With a mighty voice he invites all who are present to descend with him to the earth to save all life. Appearing then on earth as an emperor, he is joined by his divine entourage from above, which now takes the form of court ladies and soldiers. The backdrop display describes the significance of the scene, reading "Establishing the Divinely Inspired Culture."
