The Ladies’ Classical Chinese Dance - 2023 Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra

D.F. / arr. Junyi Tan
Conducted by: Milen Nachev
Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra performing on October 26, 2023

This composition, like many others in today’s program, was originally written for dance accompaniment. On a tranquil, moonlit evening, the delicate pipa evokes a graceful dance through notes seemingly suspended in midair. Intricate melodies weave through the different instruments before giving way to a spritely middle section. As the music reaches the climax, the gentle pipa melody returns once again, bringing the night to a peaceful close.
