Americans use their phones for more than five hours each day—checking them on average every 10 minutes for a rough total of 100 times per day. Research tells us this affects not only our physiology, but also our mental state. But could it also be affecting us in realms beyond our normal, human perception?

Directed and also acted in by Sam, alongside his fellow dancers, this dynamic episode of the 3 Musketeers may well cast your own daily habits in a dangerous new light. This sci-fi, short film drama treads unnervingly close to reality, stirring us to ask the question, “Are we using technology, or is It using us?”

This film was written and produced by Fei Tian College students as part of Chinese New Year celebrations.
