Shen Yun Compositions

Cellos and erhu open the piece, blending smoothness and flexible strength while maintaining a carefree character. The faster section contains a buoyantly rhythmic motif, meant to conjure images of light foot tapping and the springing jumps of people dancing. Just as the music crests, the long dung-chen horn, imitated here by the trombone, calls the dancing to a stop. After a brief repose and a lilting solo by the erhu, the spirited celebration resumes.
