The curtain opens to reveal a regiment of celestial soldiers, preparing for a battle against the forces of evil. Their enemy, a demon horde, combines to form a sinister red dragon. The dragon, however, is no match for the Lord Buddha’s divine might. Defeated, the evil dragon flees to Earth and assumes a human form.
On Earth, it is a time when China’s civilization is flourishing. Little do the members of the imperial court realize, though, that the contest between good and evil will one day resume in the human world.
