Buddhism holds that within each person there is both Buddha nature and demon nature. This internal struggle between good and evil plays out in this dance story created by Fei Tian College students. Its plot was inspired by real events, in particular a recent episode in Hong Kong. Here, the young protagonist is confronted by a group of people in green T-shirts, members of the Communist Party-backed “Hong Kong Youth Care Association.” This organization was routinely mobilized to attack the peaceful activities of Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong. As the green cadres approach the young man, he finds himself torn between two forces.
